Five Injured While Trying To Put Out Fire In Uri

SRINAGAR: At least five persons suffered burn injuries while trying to put out a fire in Sultandaki village in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday.

Reports said that five persons suffered burn injuries after a fire broke out in dry grass.

The injured have been identified as Sajid Ahmed son of Abdul Razak Sheikh, Abdul Wahid son of Abdul Rasheed Khan, Abdul Rasheed son of Abdul Kareem 70,  Roshan Bee wife of Abdul Rasheed 60 and Mufad Mir son of Mohammad Youns Mir 24.

All the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors shifted one injured to district Baramulla for specialised treatment.

Fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames, reports said.
