J&K Records Highest Daily Spike of 4650 New Cases, 37 Deaths

SRINAGAR: As Covid-19 cases continue to be on the rise, Jammu and Kashmir today recorded the highest daily spike of 4650 new Covid-19 cases whereas 37 people succumbed to the virus.

Srinagar reported 1311 cases, Baramulla 352, Budgam 386, Pulwama 240, Kupwara 96, Anantnag 417, Bandipora 107, Ganderbal 31, Kulgam 162, Shopian 85, Jammu 598, Udhampur 220, Rajouri 205, Doda 81, Kathua 134, Samba 50, Kishtwar 15, Poonch 72, Ramban 49 and Reasi 39.

Regarding the fresh deaths, 25 were reported in Jammu division and 12 deaths in Kashmir, taking the total fatality count to 2458.

Jammu divison continues to top the casualty list with 25 deaths recorded, wherein 17 deaths in Jammu, 3 in Rajouri, 3 in Poonch and one each in Doda and Samba, whereas Kashmir valley saw 12 deaths, today with 5 in Srinagar, 2 in Baramulla, 3 in Pulwama and one each in Budgam and Bandipora.

Also, 1878 patients –631 from Jammu and 1247 from Kashmir –recovered in the last 24 hour. Currently there are 37302 active positive cases in the J&K.
